1979 Aston Martin V8 Volante Prince of Wales Specification
1979 Aston Martin V8 Volante with manual transmission and power output increased to Prince of Wales Vantage Specification.
We are pleased to be able to offer this exceptional Aston Martin which we last had the pleasure of marketing and selling back in 2004. The car was sold new by
St Hellier Garages in Jersey to a doctor who kept and enjoyed the car for the next 10 years during which time it was regularly serviced and maintained.
It was later owned by Eddie Shah the newspaper entrepreneur, who in 1998 commissioned Stratton Motor Company in Norfolk to increase the power output from V540 to V580 Vantage Specification with sports exhaust at a cost of around £26,000. More pictures after 10th January 2023
This is a superb driving car and very rare in manual form and comes with an exceptionally well documented history file, most recently confirming maintenance over a 12-year period, with either Ian Mason or more recently with Aston London since Ian Mason retired. Finished in Buckingham Green and therefore matching the colour of the original Prince of Wales spec car and with cream hide interior piped in green and best quality green Wilton carpet throughout. The car presents exceptionally well and is further complimented with a recently replaced black mohair soft top. Definitely a car for the avid collector and not expensive at £169,500
