1954 Jaguar XK120 FHC
1954 Jaguar XK120 FHC finished in Pale metallic blue. Only on the market due to the bereavement of a close friend and neighbour and a very capable restorer of fine motor cars. Although this was an ongoing project prior to the owner becoming too ill to complete the task, the amount of work already completed amounts to at least 75% of the total job. The body shell, now fully re-painted is completely free of any corrosion and most of the mechanical parts have undergone complete refurbishment and are now installed into the body shell. The engine has been completely rebuilt and the original Moss box has been replaced with an all synchro 5 speed alternative. New disc brakes and callipers are fitted to the front and the original drum brakes to the rear are all rebuilt and fitted. The car has new shock absorbers all round and the rear springs are correctly leather bound. The car has all new veneers ready to be fitted to the interior and the dashboard is completely assembled with newly refurbished gauges and wiring loom and is completely ready for fitting. The car has a louvered bonnet and a Le Mans style filler cap and with the car are numerous boxes of un-opened parts purchased from Guy Broad. We believe that everything is present with the car including a new exhaust and new individual bucket seats which only require trimming. This is a rare and exciting project and the finished article will be an attractive motor car that will be huge fun to drive. Please note that this is a far cry from the frequently offered imported rot boxes where much of the body work is only fit for replacement. Please enquire.
