Description

1999 Porsche 996 C4

1999 Porsche 996 C4 finished in Midnight Blue with dark blue leather interior and first registered in April of that year. This car has been the regular transport of the last owner who initially purchased it in 2018 but then sold it to his nephew as his first Porsche. He was then fortunate enough to buy it back again in July 2017 and since owning it for the second time he has covered approximately 14,000 miles of what he describes as trouble free delightful motoring. From the service book we can see that it was originally supplied by AFN Porsche in Chiswick with the first four services being carried out by H.R.Owen Porsche in Hatfield, the last of which was at 35,176 miles in April 2003. The next service was at Porsche in Cumnor Hill in Oxford where it was found to be requiring a replacement engine at just over 40,000 miles which was duly fitted. Regular servicing is then continued mainly with PORTIACRAFT through to 62,000 miles and then laterly Goss Hall Works in Canterbury. The history file contains a plethera of service invoices which largely match the stamps in the service booklet. As the first water cooled 911 it was a far cry from the norm when announced, probably upsetting many purists. However it is a delight to drive with great handling characteristics and could be a "Driving Licence Loser" if you don't use your mirrors. A Boxter "S" or Cayman "S" would be acceptable in part exchange and sensibly priced at £12,950
