1951 ALVIS TA21

Drive: RHD
Transmission: Manual
Mileage: Enquire
Interior: Tan Hide
Price: £14950

This 1951 Alvis TA 21 has been the subject of huge expenditure on the mechanical side with invoices in the comprehensive car file in excess of £15,000. The 2993 cc engine when new produced 83 bhp and was fitted with a single Solex carburettor and a compression ratio of 7.0:1. Unusually, the engine incorporated timing gears at the rear of the cylinder block and a 7-bearing crank to increase smoothness. This was the first appearance of the engine that would power Alvis cars until the manufacturer withdrew from passenger car production in 1967. The two tone bodywork is in very respectable condition with an excellent paint finish and the chrome work is also in fine condition. Whilst improvements could be made to the interior by way of a complete re-trim, the existing interior is by no means worn out and should provide for many more years of use. We have priced this car to sell and we believe it to be well under the current market price at only £14,950.
