1959 Aston Martin DB MkIII Coupe
1959 Aston Martin DB MkIII finished in original Snow Shadow grey with dark blue hide interior and sitting on 72 spoke dark blue painted DB4 wire wheels. Built at the Feltham factory in the final year of production, the MkIII was a considerable advancement on the previous models with a smoother, less angular bonnet shape which was also reflected in the redesigned instrument binnacle. This model also benefited from the engine being redesigned with larger oil galleries together with an improved cylinder head increasing the horsepower to 178 BHP for a standard car with twin exhausts. This car has been the subject of huge expenditure over the years including a complete engine rebuild and bulkhead detailing with photographic evidence. Also fitted is the essential overdrive enabling the car to comfortably cruise at 80 mph whilst only revving at 3000 rpm. Super to drive with no apparent faults. Very collectable and not expensive for one in this condition at £185,000
